This model is the Type D Autounion 1939, based on the Matchbox kit. It promises to be a tough job … but I hope to make the best of it in this kit.
I start by opening the air inlets and outlets of the covers and preparing parts for primer.

I do not like the assembly process that follow the instructions, because the outer plate of the car is divided into two parts, with a slot that has no the car. So I decide to assemble these two parts and fill that slot with Putty, dividing the tubes forming the frame to insert the engine from behind.

I prepare the various parts that make the engine, and open exhaust outlets that came blinded. I make the holes for the later wiring.

The engine cover does not match in form with the original, so I supplemented with a piece of plastic thermoformed.
